<p><b>A day in the Life of an Auto Body Technician at Fix Auto</b></p>
<p>Responsibilities include preparing panels to be primed, priming car body, sanding, applying primer and executing minor body work.</p>
<p>· Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components as per manufacturer’s specifications.</p>
<p>· Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers.</p>
<p>· Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams.</p>
<p>· Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.</p>
<p>· Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.</p>
<p>· Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs.</p>
<p>· Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation.</p>
<p>· Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the achievement of quality standards in restoration and repair, to reduce and eliminate rework and warranty claims.</p>

<p>The <b>Estimator’s</b> primary responsibility is creating estimates, coordinating repair needs for customers including all communication. Also, estimators inform and update customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process. The Estimator accurately assesses the damage of vehicles, documents and parts needed for repairs. The Estimator works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities KPIs.</p>
<p>Key Job Responsibilities</p>

<li>Write accurate estimates for the damage of vehicle and repairs to be completed</li>
<li>Provide Customer with accurate and timely information, guiding them through the repair process</li>
<li>Ensure ASE is updated accurately with important details from every customer interaction</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all insurance requirements</li>
<li>Communicate all customer requests and needs to the appropriate team members</li>
<li>Participate in daily “production walks” with the Management Team</li>
<li>Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Store Manager</li>
<li>Build customer relationships and apply learning to maximize KPI performance (Sales/ GP/ EBITDA/ BHPD/ NPS, Return Rate, etc.)</li>
