Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Body Technician to join our team at Cyrious Garageworks, located at 19 Sutherland St E, Caledonia, ON N3W 1B9. This position focuses on the meticulous preparation and finishing of custom builds and classic cars before they reach our paint department. Please note that this specific role does not involve painting.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Prepare custom builds and classic cars for paint through meticulous filler work and body straightening.
Perform block sanding, wet sanding, and polishing to achieve a flawless surface.
Execute door and panel gapping to ensure parts fit perfectly before final assembly.
Manage fiberglass work and light sheet metal work as required for custom projects.
Handle cleaning and masking of vehicles to prepare for the next stages of the build.
Perform minor mechanical work when necessary, though it is not the primary function of this role.

Requirements

Experience: Proven experience in the auto body industry is required, with 3 years of automotive body prep experience preferred.
Attention to Detail: An exceptional eye for detail and a willingness to take the time needed to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Versatility: Willingness to work on a wide variety of vehicles, from classic domestic cars to European hypercars.
Tools: Having your own tools is required.
Skills: Experience with metal work, MIG/TIG welding, or machining is a significant asset.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a tight-knit team.
License: Red Seal or 310b is preferred, but not required.
