Collision Repair Technician.

THE JOB

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair damaged vehicles using technical information sheets following APS (Advanced Process Solutions) in accordance with repair orders.
  • Make “repair or replace” decisions concerning safety, cost, and cycle time.
  • Perform structural and/or replacement repairs, airbag replacement and minor mechanical work.
  • Perform different types of sheet metal welding and metal finishing.
  • Work and communicate with Production Manager and Estimators on vehicle repair status (including supplements).
  • Utilize all required safety equipment, follow proper repair procedures, adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
  • Keep personal work area clean and organized, returns tool, and maintain parts/materials carts in an organized manner.
  • Follow quality control processes and inspections.
  • Attend daily release meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 – 5 years of collision repair experience required.
  • Red Seal License as an Auto Body Collision Repair Technician strongly preferred.
  • I-CAR welding and ASE Structural (B4) certification a plus.
  • Experience using frame and measuring equipment.
  • Can work independently and in a team environment.
  • Highly organized, able to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record (mandatory).
